I’m both shocked and relieved that it’s March. February allowed me to feel a little bit of warmth and light in my life again. Apart from the winter blues the state of the world has definitely not been making anything easy on us. So heres a little
Doing:
Valentines Day
I love Valentines Day which is a given considering my affinity for romance. I spent the morning at work where I received loads of sweets and goodies from kiddos. Then I made valentines when I got home and made some strawberry jam cookies. I had a date night with my best friend we got burritos at a local spot and chatted our little hearts out. We also got tickets for a special viewing of Singing in the Rain at our local independent theatre. We watched the movie over two plastic cups of wine and giggled (mostly at our nonsensical inside jokes) Valentines Day ended up being quite wholesome. It was one of those days you go to bed with a warm smile on your face and think, how lucky am I !
Nights out with friends
Yeah, you read that right stayed out passed my bed time. It’s rare for me to have a late night out and even more so for me to actually enjoy myself. One night I celebrated a friends birthday and ended the night dancing. Another night I had some good laughs at a comedy show with friends. I think it was nice reminder to myself to leave the house and socialize more. Sometimes, emphasis on the sometimes, it could be really fun.
Watching
I finally finished both seasons of The Night Agent which slightly spiked my anxiety but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
I also watched all of Sweet Magnolias which felt oddly comforting in these trying times.
As for movies I had quite the movie month with Oscars prep. I usually don’t end up getting to many of the nominees but this year I made an effort. I watched Wicked last year and A Complete Unknown early on in January. In February I watched Anora, The Brutalist, and Conclave- I’ll let you guess which I enjoyed more (Hint: I have the attention span of a goldfish)
One of the most notable new movies I watched was actually not an oscar nominee but in fact, My Fault: London. One of my friends texted me about it and said she was obsessed so of course I had to check it out. It was actually thrilling in the way that all fanfiction adaptations are and I absolutely ate it up.
Notable rewatches: Valentines Day (duh!) Twilight: New Moon (one of the best movies ever) and The Longest Ride.

Reading:
I read a total of five books this month. Honestly all of them were great. I absolutely love romance and this month reminded me of why. A definite highlight is A Tropical Rebel Gets the Duke by Adriana Herrera. It was a perfect wrap-up to a beautiful series and a great reminded to how important the romance genre is. You can find link to my full wrap up here (Insta and Tiktok)

Hello March
Lucky March! I have some fun stuff (slightly scary) stuff lined up this month. I think I’ll be a little bit out of my comfort zone this month but I’m excited to see what that brings.
